LearnScroll — Privacy Policy

LearnScroll ("we", "the app") turns your study materials into short, scrollable educational videos. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

Information we collect

• Account information: your email address (email sign-up or Sign in with Apple). Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth.
• Content you upload: learning materials you choose to add (PDF, PowerPoint, Word, text, or images). We process these to generate study content.
• Generated content: the concepts, captions, quizzes and short videos created from your materials.
• Usage data: in-app interactions such as videos viewed, quiz answers, and items you save — used to power spaced-repetition review and your progress/streak.
• Notifications: if you enable reminders, we schedule local notifications on your device.

We do not collect your contacts, precise location, or use third-party advertising trackers.

How we use your information

• To provide the core service: analyze your uploaded materials and generate study videos and quizzes.
• To personalize review (spaced repetition) and show your progress.
• To send the optional study reminders you turn on.
• To manage subscriptions (if you purchase one).

Third parties / sub-processors

• Supabase — account, database, and storage (backend).
• Google Gemini API — your uploaded material's content is sent to Google's Gemini model to extract concepts and generate scripts. Do not upload content you are not comfortable processing through a third-party AI service.
• Cloudflare R2 / Render — storage and rendering of generated videos.
• Apple / RevenueCat — subscription purchases and validation (if you subscribe).

We do not sell your personal data.

Data retention & deletion

• Your data is kept while your account is active.
• You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from inside the app: You → Settings → "Hesabı sil" (Delete account). This permanently removes your materials, generated videos, interactions and account.
• You can also request deletion by emailing us (below).

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on managed cloud infrastructure with per-user access controls (row-level security).

Children

LearnScroll is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date will change accordingly.
